About Our Intestinal Tune-Up

Our Intestinal Tune-Up is made from the following 15 herbs to cleanse the intestines of old fecal matter, undigested particles and mucous.  None of these herbs are habit forming.

Phyllium Seed – Adds bulk and is wonderful at softening and absorbing old, hardened fecal matter.
Bentonit Clay – It has been said that it can absorb 40 times its own weight.  When taken with plenty of water, the bentonite can absorb and carry the water to the colon.  The water coming in contact on a consistent basis with the old, hardened fecal matter will help soften and release it.  The bentonite will also absorb a great amount of the waste and carry it out of the body.
Cascara Sagrada – Causes the peristaltic muscles to activate thus helping break loose the debris and pushing it out of the body.  Also helps to build muscle tone of a sluggish bowel.
Capsicum – A bowel stimulator and helps magnify the effects of the herbs.  It also brings blood to the colon tissues therefore helping to heal them because of the extra nutrition and cleanses harmful bacteria.
Garlic – Expels intestinal worms and regulates the blood pressure level in the bowels helping to ease the pain of hemorrhoids and piles.
Rosehips – Adds bulk and stimulates the natural growth of intestinal flora which is very important to the health of the bowels and proper digestion.
Aloe – Heals lesions in the alimentary canal.
Rhubarb Root – Natural laxative and feeds the bowels the nutrition they require for good health and functioning.
Black Walnut Hulls – Kills parasites
Senna Leaves – Stimulates peristaltic action of the lower bowel.
Flax See Meal – Contains an oil that lubricates the bowels making passage of feces easier and smoother.  The oil also helps soften and loosen old fecal matter so it can be easily passed out of the body.  Also adds bulk and is absorbent, helping carry out the old waste.
Slippery Elm – Absorbs mucous and is very healing to the alimentary canal.
Licorice – Hormone balancing, especially for victims of diarrhea and soothes stomach and intestinal walls.
Marshmallow – Excellent for bleeding piles, inflammation and irritation of the alimentary canal and smoothes the intestinal walls in which the clean healthy mucous coating has been eroded away.
Peppermint – Heals colon lesions.  Helps to regulate diarrhea and heal dysentery.  Restores circulation and oxygen on a cellular level and calms and soothes the stomach and intestines.
